Dr. Ascunce's journey in New York began with a residency in Internal Medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan. Following this, he pursued specialized training with a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital in South Florida. Returning to New York, he capped his extensive education with an extra year of training and completed an advanced therapeutic endoscopy fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan. While Dr. Ascunce initially worked in the hospital system and academia in advanced endoscopy, he now practices general gastroenterology and cares for all the needs of his patients in their pursuit of digestive health.
